Kids money matters

“What is Ekomini? It is an interactive piggy bank designed to help parents teach their children to become money-savvy early in life. It is the first and only of its kind, meant for children aged 6-12 years old, and I think this is a great idea to engage children’s interest in learning the value of money through interactive games and fun activities”.

Ekomini sponsored the Carrefour Jeunesse Côte Des Neiges to help people and youth because  we want to give back to the community.

Along with The Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi de Côte Des Neiges and the Canadian Community Women`s League of Montreal Inc. we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for coming out to our PANCAKE BREAKFAST. It was a great success and see you next year.

We  really enjoyed putting smiles on people’s faces especially the kids and we look forward to continue to assist in making a difference in the lives of our youth.

learn about money young

Our family strongly believes in teaching children about financial responsibility at an early age, and the best way to do this is to give them money to practice with in a supervised environment while they are young!

This little bank is so neat, it actually counts the counts, memorizes them, and transfers the balances into a virtual account that your children can monitor to track their savings!  When children visit the online world of Ekominiville, they can learn about saving, planning for purchases, donating to causes, and investing.  There’s also a parental interface to keep grown-ups like us in the loop.  I know if you add a computer game into the equation with ANY subject for my daughter, her interest levels increase ten-fold!

With incredibly high levels of consumer debt running rampant across North America it seems clear that we need to do a better job of teaching our children how to manage finances wisely.  This new savings tool looks like a good place to start!

The best part of the Ekomini system for parents is there is a dashboard designed just for us where you can track and customize your child’s learning experience.

“My 7 year old son and I watched the video together and he like it. He is a math wiz, but could care less about money, so this would be a great product for him to understand money better.” Showna Obrien

“How cool. this would be great for the kids. Nice way to teach them lessons!” Eve
